Aquablue despatch product to most
areas in Australia via FASTWAY
COURIERS every Tuesday or Wednesday.
We use Foam Boxes which we take
to the Newcastle Freight Depot at
4pm in the afternoon. At 6-7pm they
leave Newcastle. The service is
overnight to your door in most of
NSW. Overnight to Melbourne and
Brisbane. 3 days plus to South
Australia and 4 days plus to Western
Australia. For SA and WA we can use
overnight air freight but cost
triples.
Each delivery has a individual bar code label printed
and attached here at Aquablue. Each box as it passes through the various depots
across Australia has the bar code scanned and information recorded into the
computer system. Via our bar code number we can monitor via the internet the
progress of every box. If for example one box out of today’s delivery of 100
boxes has not arrived at its destination on time we can identify at which depot
at what time it was last and then which truck it is on and then contact that
driver via phone and ask what’s the problem. This system greatly reduces the
possibility of late deliveries.
Delivery costs are paid to
Aquablue Seafoods prior to despatch,
and our courier just adds delivery
charges to our monthly account. You
can not pay cash on delivery. These
are commercial couriers they want a
signature for receipt of delivery
only.
We use Fastway because of their
good delivery record. However,
accidents do occur and boxes do go
missing from time to time and are
late on arrival.
Your box of produce will be
delivered by Fastway Couriers to
your door and you will need to sign
for the delivery. Having the
delivery made to your home or work
is OK just as long as there is
someone there during business hours
to sign for the delivery. If there
is not going to be someone there to
sign we need to advise the delivery
driver and make alternate
arrangements.
